PazBy taps you on the shoulder when you're nearby.
Your personal radar for the places you want to remember. The hardware store for that one thing you keep forgetting, the pharmacy on your commute, a friend's house, a viewpoint a coworker mentioned in Lisbon — save it once, and PazBy quietly nudges you when you're close.
One-time $2.99. No subscription, ever.
Save a place as Home
What is PazBy?
PazBy is an Android app that quietly notifies you when you are physically near a place you have saved. It is sold as a one-time $2.99 purchase on the Google Play Store — there is no subscription, no advertising, and no user account. The app runs on your phone and stores your saved places locally; if you opt in to cloud backup, an encrypted copy is uploaded to your own Google Drive's hidden app-data folder.

Switching from Google Keep?
Google Keep dropped its location-reminder feature in the Tasks migration, and Tasks doesn't have one. If that's why you're here, PazBy is built for exactly the same job — and a bunch of things Keep never did (voice arrival announcements, per-place reminder text, opt-in approach alerts while driving, Travel Mode, Available-on-Date/Time gating).

The thing you keep forgetting
Need a 5/8 drill bit at Canadian Tire? Save it once. PazBy reminds you the next time you're nearby — not when you're three suburbs away.
The errand on your commute
Save the pharmacy you drive past every day. PazBy notices when you're actually close enough to swing in.
The place someone mentioned
A coffee place in Lisbon. A viewpoint in Iceland. A friend's new house. Save it; PazBy keeps the radar warm for years if it has to.
Run errands together — not three separate trips.
Every place you've saved sits on one map. When the bank trip turns into “and three other things while I'm in the area,” you can see what's nearby and stitch them into one efficient route — without a spreadsheet, without copy-pasting addresses into Google My Maps. Your places already live on the map. Just look.
Spot the cluster
You'll be surprised how often three or four of your saved places sit a couple of blocks apart. Tap the red zoom-to-fit button on the Map tab and see every pin within 100 km of where you are framed automatically.
Plan a Saturday route
Lay out the errands before you leave. PazBy's “Nearest first” sort lines them up by distance, so the obvious-but-easy-to-miss “swing by here on the way back” trip plans itself.
One screen, one decision
No new app to learn. The places you saved for reminders are the same places you scan for trip-planning — same map, same pins.
Planning a trip, or heading somewhere new?
Save the places you want to visit before you go. PazBy quietly nudges you when you're nearby — so you don't realize three days later that you walked right past the bakery your friend recommended, or that the museum you meant to see was around the corner from your hotel.
Travel Mode
One toggle hides your day-to-day errands list while you're on a trip and shows only the places you saved in the country you're visiting. Flip it back off when you're home and the local list snaps back.
Business trip
The client office, the dinner reservation, the lunch spot the local team suggested. No fumbling with maps between meetings.
Returning to a city
The places you used to love but haven't been back to in years. PazBy remembers them all so you don't have to.
How it works
1. Save a place
Long-press the map, tap a Google POI, or share from Google Maps. Takes one tap.
2. Go about your day or trip
PazBy runs quietly in the background. The smart gearbox sleeps the radar when you're parked, wakes when you start moving.
3. Get a quiet nudge nearby
A notification and optional voice announcement — “Arrived at Canadian Tire. Don't forget: return drill bits.”
4. One tap to Google Maps or Waze
Need driving directions? Tap the Pin. Google's Get-directions + Open-in-Maps icons pop up over the marker; a cyan Waze button fades in on the left edge of the screen. Three nav-app options visible at once — pick whichever fits.
Why PazBy, and not the alternatives
$2.99. One time. Forever.
Productivity-suite apps (Todoist, TickTick, Any.do) put this feature behind $36–80/year subscriptions. PazBy is the same thing as a one-time purchase.
No account. No backend.
Your places live on your phone. Backups go to your own Google Drive, encrypted with your passphrase — we never see them.
Actively maintained
The free dedicated apps in this category haven't shipped updates in years. PazBy is built to last.
For Google Keep refugees
Keep removed location reminders in the Tasks migration. PazBy is the natural replacement — same shoulder-tap behaviour, plus a handful of things Keep never did. See the migration guide →
Background location is sensitive — PazBy treats it that way.
Your data stays on-device
Saved places live in an encrypted database on your phone. They never leave unless you tap Backup.
Encrypted Drive backups
If you back up, files go to your own Google Drive, encrypted with a passphrase only you know.
No analytics SDKs
No Google Analytics. No Mixpanel. No Facebook SDK. Just anonymous crash reports on release builds.
Save it once. Never miss it again.
Save your first place in under a minute. Errands, travel, the places that matter — one-time $2.99, no subscription, no ads, no account.
